A little more about the evening
Think a glass of prosecco on arrival, soft music, and great company - everything you need for a cosy, creative evening out. And you will learn a new skill too!
In line with our 'Red and Thread’ theme, in this class you'll begin creating a playful wine-inspired hand embroidered motif while enjoying a glass of wine.
You will choose your favourite design from 4 options available on the day. No experience? No problem. This class is perfect for beginners and paced slowly to suit all skills. Your teacher will guide you along the process and be on hand to support you just as much as you need.
You will be stitching either on a tote bag or a denim garment of your own (see the ‘What to bring’ section below for more details).
To make the evening feel extra chilled, we have made the class a little longer than usual, so you can truly embrace the process while you sip. And don’t worry if you don’t finish your design during the class - you'll leave with the skills and materials needed to complete it at home.
What is included in the class / What to bring
Tote bags and denim garments are not included. You are welcome to bring your own tote bag, denim garment or accessory to stitch on, or you can purchase a sustainably sourced cotton bag at the venue (£4 for an unbleached cotton bag and £17 for a high quality denim bag).
During the class, you will have access to all materials and tools needed, including a choice of templates, an embroidery hoop (your teacher will advise if needed depending on the support you are using), needles, an extended choice of threads and countless beads and sequins to embellish your piece.
To ensure your creative journey continues beyond the class, we provide the materials you need to complete your work in your own time: a couple of thread colours of your choice, one meter each, a needle and a selection of 10 beads and 10 sequins.
And if you are eager to explore even further, additional materials are available for purchase right at the venue, just ask the teacher.
A welcome glass of prosecco and a large glass of wine (red or white) are included in the ticket price. Additional food, nibbles and drinks available to purchase - we highly recommend that you try one of their delicious toasties.
