Please take a moment to read and understand these Terms and Conditions before booking any of our classes and services.
By booking and participating in our embroidery classes, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
Booking & Payment
All class bookings must be made through our website or authorized booking channels.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot in the class. It is not possible to attend a class if full payment has not been received.
We accept payments via our secure payment service provider ‘Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd’. The Stripe Payments Europe Ltd is PCI compliant. PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
On site purchases of additional items will be charged via card payment or via online payment link.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you are no longer able to attend a class, please let us know via email as soon as possible. Cancellations made more than 14 days before the class date will receive a credit note for the cost of the booking minus a £15 admin fee per person. The credit note is to be used within 2 months from the day of the booked class.
Unfortunately, cancellations made within 14 days of the class date are non-refundable.
Private events are subject to their own cancellation and refunds policy, detailed in the private event agreement.
Yoo Hoop is not responsible or liable for any delay or cancellation of classes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If we need to cancel your class due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule if possible.
Yoo Hoop is not liable for any losses or expenses resulting from course changes or cancellations.
Substitute participants
A substitute participant can be designated up to 24 hours before the class starts at no extra charge. Please email us all relevant details (booking number and name and surname of substitute participant) to make the change.
Transfers
If you would like to move the class you booked to an alternative day and time (among the ones available on the website for booking), please let us know via email as soon as possible. Transfers are only possible when a request is made more than 14 days before the class date and are subject to a £15 admin fee per person.
Unfortunately, transfers requests made within 14 days of the class date are not possible.
Private events are subject to their own transfer policy, detailed in the private event agreement.
Changes to classes
Sometimes we might need to change the class location, time, or instructor. We will notify you of any changes as soon as possible.
If you cannot attend a rescheduled class, you will be offered a full refund.
Our threads and templates may vary from class to class, so there's no guarantee you'll find the same colours, thread type and brand or template you've seen in other sessions or used by other students. This means that you may not be able to recreate a design you have previously stitched or you have seen in another class.
Health and Safety
Yoo Hoop is committed to maintaining a high standard of health and safety.
Students are expected to follow the health and safety guidelines provided by our tutors.
Students are responsible for informing us of any allergies or medical conditions prior to the class.
We provide all necessary materials and equipment, and we ensure they are safe and in good condition. However, participants must use them responsibly and follow the instructor’s guidelines.
Students take part in Yoo Hoop classes at their own risks, aware of the hazards related to stitching, including, but not limited to the use of sharp objects such as needles.
Repeated failure to adhere to the Health and Safety guidelines will result in the immediate termination of the student's place in the class, with no refund.
Yoo Hoop is not liable for any injuries sustained by students during, before, or after a class.
All Yoo Hoop classes are smoke-free. The use of e-cigarettes is forbidden too.
Yoo Hoop classes are for adults only.
No pets are permitted in our classes.
Code of Conduct
We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment and expect all students to be kind and respectful to peers and teachers.
Disrespectful, disruptive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the class without a refund.
Liability
Yoo Hoop is not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages sustained during the class, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
Keep an eye on your personal items. We can’t be responsible for lost or damaged belongings brought to the class.
Intellectual Property
All materials provided during the class, including designs and patterns, are for your personal enjoyment and are intellectual property of Yoo Hoop.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell any materials or designs obtained from our classes without written permission.
Photography and Media
We may take photographs or videos during classes to share on our social media and communications material. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform the teacher in advance or let us know in writing ahead of the class and we will make sure to leave you out of them.
Participants are welcome to take photos during the class, but these should not disrupt the session.
The images on this website and our social media are for illustrative purposes only and do not represent the actual outcomes of the classes. The results will vary for each student based on their individual creativity and skills.
Privacy
We collect personal information solely for the purpose of managing your booking and providing our services. We never share your information with third parties without your consent.
